Wilderness Lodge is the home resort for this celebration. The resort, built in the arts and crafts style, is themed after national parks lodges in the Northwest. The Deluxe resort has warm tones, wood accents, and Native American inspired design.
The resort is a favorite among us here at the podcast for many reasons including it's spacious lobby, Whispering Canyon Cafe, gorgeous fireplaces, the geyser, and the free-form pool.
Mike then made his way to the Magic Kingdom, where he looked around and found his way to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. He also managed to meet Anna and Elsa from Frozen.
At tonight's Rock Your Disney Side events, guests were invited to explore and take selfies with many characters representing each park, showing off their Disney Side. Guests were able to meet performers from Festival of the Lion King, Anna and Elsa, Goofy who was there to celebrate Typhoon Lagoon's 25th Anniversary, performers from the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, and more.
During Rock Your Disney Side this summer, guests will be able to take part in events that will take place on both coasts, with the kick off being the Rock Your Disney Side 24 Hour event at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, as well as at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The parks will be open for 24 hours, from 6 a.m. on May 23 through 6 a.m. on May 24.
The night ended with Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
Stay tuned for more fun on Thursday!
