Wow! Marathon Weekend is rapidly approaching and the BOGP Lizards will be out in full force! There are quite a few meets that are taking place from January 7-12. (PS: Thanks to Mike Bankhead and Florence Porter for arranging these fantastic meets!)
Friday 5:30pm - Kona Cafe (There were two ADRs created that was good for 26 people total. These ADRs are full, however, if you would like to meet up and have dinner at the same time as the group, see if you can make an ADR for the same time!)
Saturday 4pm - Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort - This is the big meet! The best part is that it's super informal! Just show up, grab some dinner or a snack, and meet people from BOGP and the Lizard squad!
Sunday 4pm - Hoop-dee-doo (we are making ADRS (pre-paid) If you would like to join us, please see if there are ADRs available.)
In addition, for all of you running, before each race, meet at corral L! (For Lizard!) That way we can all see each other, take photos, and wish each other luck!

World during the show!
On Friday's episode, we brought you some interviews with Disney Cast Members who helped to bring the magic of some of this summer's big highlights to the parks. This includes things like the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, Rock Your Disney Side, and of course, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
While Mike was at the press event, he was lucky enough to take a ride on this new attraction that officially opens on May 28.
Today, we bring to you not one, but two videos of Mike's experience. The first is the raw version of Mike's ride through.
This second video is the edited version of Mike's ride through! Both are fantastic fun!
Stay tuned as this Friday's episode we'll share more details about this special event and much more!
The morning's activities last Friday started out with a trip to the Magic Kingdom to see the dedication for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! It was a fun ceremony! The Seven Dwarfs Mine attraction opens officially on May 28!
Next, we got to go to the Around Our World presentation.
First we learned that Disney's Polynesian Resort will be renamed to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. In addition the lobby will see some changes and Trader Sam's Grog Grotto will be added! This is a fun stop in Disneyland, so I'm sure it will be just as popular at Walt Dismey World.
Next up was information about the new hard ticket event, Harambe Nights. Taking place at Disney's Animal Kingdom, this party will see special performances in the Harambe Thester of an all new show, featuring dancers, and orchestra and choir, celebrity narrator and more. In addition, food and beverage are included, as well as a fun street party.
Disney also announced that the nighttime spectacular Rivers of Light would be making its way to Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Finally, the Festival of the Lion King will return in June!
And Avatarland will debut in 2017!
Downtown Disney will officially be re-branded as Disney Springs in 2015 and will see the opening th The Landing. The other three sections will debut in 2016.
Then it was time to say goodbye. We hope you enjoyed the coverage of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train event. We're so excited to be able to share more with you over the next few weeks! Make sure to listen to the podcast for more great coverage!
Yesterday morning started off with an interesting presentation all about MyMagic+. It featured Tom Staggs, the Chairman of the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, George Kalogridis, the President of Walt Disney World, and Travel Expert, Samantha Brown, a favorite here at Be Our Guest.
One of the neat things that we learned was that the maps in the My Disney Experience are going to get an upgrade soon, where they will appear in sort of a 3D view!
After lunch at Be Our Guest, Mike headed over to ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for the first time. He will have a great video to share with us of his first time riding.
How incredible does this queue look? The details are just phenomenal!
Of course, he's also bringing us some great audio for the podcast too, that I think we all cannot wait to share with you!
Then it was time for some fun in the park! Mike found some friends in Storybook Circus. This looks like a great group!
Mike and Pam then went over to meet Ariel! She's always so sweet!
From there, it was time to ride again! They were given return times to come back to ride the attraction.
This is part of the new interactive queue and it looks like a lot of fun!
The night ended with Mike getting to meet some of our favorite Dwarfs!
Today was the first day for the media events that are scheduled to take place over the next few days. Here's a peek at some of the fun that occurred as guests were invited to take part in rocking their Disney Side at this event's kick-off celebration!
Wilderness Lodge is the home resort for this celebration. The resort, built in the arts and crafts style, is themed after national parks lodges in the Northwest. The Deluxe resort has warm tones, wood accents, and Native American inspired design.
The resort is a favorite among us here at the podcast for many reasons including it's spacious lobby, Whispering Canyon Cafe, gorgeous fireplaces, the geyser, and the free-form pool.
Mike then made his way to the Magic Kingdom, where he looked around and found his way to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. He also managed to meet Anna and Elsa from Frozen.
At tonight's Rock Your Disney Side events, guests were invited to explore and take selfies with many characters representing each park, showing off their Disney Side. Guests were able to meet performers from Festival of the Lion King, Anna and Elsa, Goofy who was there to celebrate Typhoon Lagoon's 25th Anniversary, performers from the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, and more.
During Rock Your Disney Side this summer, guests will be able to take part in events that will take place on both coasts, with the kick off being the Rock Your Disney Side 24 Hour event at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, as well as at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The parks will be open for 24 hours, from 6 a.m. on May 23 through 6 a.m. on May 24.
The night ended with Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
